According to customs statistics, in July 2022, China’s polyethylene import volume in that month was 1021600 tons, almost the same as that of the previous month (102.15), with a year-on-year decrease of 9.36%. Among them, the import of LDPE (tariff code 39011000) was about 226200 tons, with a month on month decrease of 5.16% and a year-on-year increase of 0.04%; The import of HDPE (tariff No. 39012000) was about 447400 tons, with a month on month decrease of 8.92% and a year-on-year decrease of 15.41%; LLDPE (tariff code: 39014020) imported about 348000 tons, with a month on month increase of 19.22% and a year-on-year decrease of 6.46%. From January to July, the cumulative import volume was 7.5892 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 13.23%. Under the continuous loss of upstream production profits, the domestic side maintained a high maintenance and negative reduction ratio, and the pressure on the supply side was not great. The fourth to tenth places are South Korea, Singapore, the United States, Qatar, Thailand, the Russian Federation and Malaysia.

In July, according to the statistics of registered places, Zhejiang Province still ranked first in China’s imported polyethylene, with an import volume of 232600 tons, accounting for 22.77%; Shanghai ranked second, with an import volume of 187200 tons, accounting for 18.33%; Guangdong Province ranks third, with an import volume of 170500 tons, accounting for 16.68%; Shandong Province ranks fourth, with an import volume of 141900 tons, accounting for 13.89%; Shandong Province, Jiangsu Province, Fujian Province, Beijing City, Tianjin city, Hebei Province and Anhui Province ranked fourth to tenth respectively.

In July, China’s polyethylene import trade partners accounted for 79.19% in general trade, with a month on month decrease of 0.15%, and the import volume was about 809000 tons. The import processing trade accounted for 10.83%, a month on month decrease of 0.05%, and the import volume was about 110600 tons.
